Varese Youth Sailors and Rowers Earn Medals in Germany and Bulgaria

At the Travemünder Woche regatta in Germany, sailors from Varese’s Club Nautico San Bartolomeo al Mare secured three podium places. Samuele Bardelli and Edoardo Bastini took bronze in the RS Feva class, while Lavinia Bardelli and Bianca Sofia Palermo earned silver in the Under‑15 category after a series of strong finishes in challenging weather.

Club president Ivan Bastini praised the team’s work, noting the “exceptional effort” that brought the athletes back home with pride.

In parallel, Italy’s Under‑19 rowing squad, featuring European champion Alizee Ribolzi, is preparing for the World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Fourteen Italian boats will compete from 6–9 August, aiming to reach the A finals and contend for medals.

Ribolzi expressed confidence, saying she hopes to “reach the best possible result” after a successful European campaign in Germany.
