Varginha acquires 200 hearing aids to expand SUS services

The City Hall of Varginha has acquired 200 new hearing aids to expand auditory health services provided through the Unified Health System (SUS). The initiative is managed by the Regulatory Board of the Network for Care of Persons with Disabilities of Varginha.

Currently, 80 individuals are awaiting immediate consultation, with additional patients on the evaluation waiting list. The new equipment will allow services to be carried out according to the organized waiting list. Local authorities stated that the acquisition aims to promote autonomy, inclusion, and quality of life by helping citizens reconnect with their surroundings through improved hearing.
