Variety Power of Women event honors industry leaders in Beverly Hills

The annual Variety Power of Women event, presented in partnership with Lifetime, was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The ceremony honored several influential figures in the entertainment industry and highlighted leaders profiled in the annual Women’s Impact Report.

Honorees included Jennifer Hudson, who supports The Jennifer Hudson Foundation; Pearlena Igbokwe, supporting the nonprofit A Better Chance; Melissa McCarthy, supporting the Joyful Heart Foundation; and Sharon Stone, supporting the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Additionally, Paige DeSorbo received the Variety Courage Award for her advocacy for survivors of abuse.

The event featured various presenters, including Channing Dungey, Queen Latifah, Lauren Graham, and Marc Maron. During her remarks, Igbokwe emphasized the importance of mentorship and opportunity, stating, “No one achieves anything alone.”
