Various discount card programs launched in France

New discount initiatives are available for different age groups in France. The Carte Avantages Jeunes 2026-2027 offers individuals under 30 years of age access to thousands of benefits across the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. For a fee of 10 €, cardholders can receive reductions on culture, sports, leisure, and daily commerce, including cinema, museums, and local shops in areas such as Dijon and Beaune.

Separately, the SNCF Carte Avantage Senior provides travelers aged 60 and over with a 30% discount on TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS tickets, as well as up to 60% off for accompanying children. The card costs 49 € annually. However, travelers are cautioned that to maintain these discounts, they must simultaneously present their ticket, the Avantage card, and an original physical piece of identification. Failure to provide the required documentation during inspections can result in the ticket being deemed invalid, leading to fines exceeding 150 €.
