Various industrial and agricultural developments in Croatia

The company DRACO has submitted a request for a building permit to construct a production plant in Jastrebarsko. The facility is designed to produce bitumen-based construction products with an annual capacity of 8,064 tons. The project includes an enhanced fire protection system and follows previously submitted documentation. As part of an agreement with a local working group, the company will provide reports on construction progress and environmental emissions, and will install an air quality monitoring station to ensure transparency.

In the agricultural sector, the Žito Group has completed the second phase of expanding its Orlovnjak pig farm near Osijek. This 8 million euro investment, funded by IPO proceeds, increases the farm capacity from 1,350 to 2,700 sows, nearly doubling annual piglet production to 89,100. The modernized facility features advanced ventilation, climate control, and a new manure storage tank to protect soil and water. The farm aims for energy efficiency through solar power and biogas energy.
