Oxford United faces injury concerns ahead of Reading derby

Oxford United prepares for a derby match against Reading with several players facing availability issues. Key concerns for Oxford include midfielder Jamie McDonnell, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, and goalkeeper Jamie Cumming, who is expected to miss the game due to a suspension following a red card against Barnsley.

Other potential absentees for Oxford include defender Ruben Rooksen, who is recovering from a pre-season injury, and Ciaron Brown, who has been dealing with illness. Captain Cameron Brannagan is also a doubt following a recent knock.

Reading also reports multiple injuries. Winger Paddy Lane is expected to be out for several months with a calf injury, while George Earthy (foot), Sean Patton (foot), and Benn Ward (leg) remain sidelined. Jack Marriott recently returned to the bench after dealing with a knock.
