Various theatrical productions scheduled across Italy

Several distinct theatrical productions are set to take place in Italy, focusing on diverse themes ranging from psychological thrillers to social commentary.

In Bologna, the Teatro del Loto will host Postremos, a musical thriller by Stefano Sabelli. The production features a complex neon scenography that divides the stage into a glamorous upper level for live music and a claustrophobic lower level depicting female assassins. The play aims to invert traditional roles and explore themes of violence and social visibility.

In Aversa, the Lumen company, led by Sabrina Salzano and Domenico Nobis, will perform Desdemona at the L. AR. TE. S. theater on October 24 and 25. This Shakespearean reimagining shifts the focus to female victims of violence. The performances will include a fundraiser for Spazio Donna, an association supporting victims of gender-based violence in the Caserta province.

In Rome, the ensemble lacasadargillaporta will present Caryl Churchill’s Escaped Alone at the Teatro Valle from October 23 to November 1. Directed by Lisa Ferlazzo Natoli and Alessandro Ferroni, the play follows four women whose domestic conversation is interrupted by apocalyptic visions, exploring the tension between everyday life and global destruction.
