Varium VTuber agency joins defamation countermeasures subcommittee

VTuber agency Varium, operated by Assist Co., Ltd., has joined the Defamation Countermeasures Subcommittee organized by the Creator Economy Association. This move brings the total number of supporting companies in the subcommittee to 17.

The subcommittee was established on May 22, 2024, under the Defamation Countermeasures Committee to foster cross-industry collaboration and awareness regarding online defamation. The subcommittee's founding members include major creator agencies UUUM Inc., ANYCOLOR Inc., and Cover Corp.

Supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Metropolitan Police Department, and various legal entities, the group aims to create a safe environment for creators to focus on their work by taking decisive action against malicious defamation.
