Varna architectural heritage student plein air to begin

The eighth annual “Architectural Heritage of Varna” student plein air competition will take place from September 2 to 4. Organized by the Krea Art and Culture Foundation, the event features students from the Konstantin Preslav High School of Humanities and Arts.

The theme focuses on significant buildings in Varna that will celebrate major anniversaries in 2026. Key landmarks highlighted include the Sea Baths, the Sea Casino, and the Sirens Fountain, all of which have historical ties to the city's cultural identity and development.

Public viewing is available between 10:00 and 13:30 at two locations: the Sea Garden and the area around Independence Square. During the event, students will also provide historical information regarding the ancient buildings they are depicting.
