Varna court sentences man to five-day arrest for exhibitionism

The Varna District Court has imposed a five-day arrest on a 36-year-old man for minor hooliganism. The incident occurred on the morning of September 7 near the Sea Station lighthouse in Varna.

According to reports, the man engaged in indecent exhibitionist behavior in a public space, masturbating while watching underage girls taking photos. He also directed a lewd comment toward another passing girl. A witness reported the behavior to the police.

The court ruled that the individual's actions disrupted public order and the peace of citizens. Because the level of public danger was deemed low, the court classified the act as an administrative violation rather than a criminal offense under the Penal Code. The five-day detention in a Ministry of Interior facility is subject to appeal within 24 hours.
