Varna Hosts 34th International “Love Is Madness” Film Festival

From 26 to 30 August, Varna, Bulgaria will host the 34th edition of the International Film Festival “Love Is Madness”, dedicated to romantic cinema. The festival returns with a new format and team while staying true to the tradition established by Prof. Alexander Grozev.

The jury is chaired by well‑known Bulgarian actor Vladimir Penev and includes director Stanimir Todorov‑Rogi, and actresses Ana Papadopoulou and Zhanna Yakobleva. The competition program features nine films, among them the French comedy “Touch of Love”, the Italian romance “Love and Other Thought Bursts”, debut works such as “Leave One Day” and “Sorry, Darling!”, and a documentary by Georgi Toshev.

The event is supported by the Varna Municipality and the National Film Centre, and will conclude with an awards ceremony on 30 August.
