Varna hosts Moving Body dance and Sinelibri film festivals

Varna is hosting two major cultural events: the 11th edition of the Moving Body contemporary dance and performance festival, and the 12th edition of the Sinelibri international film and literature festival.

The Moving Body festival runs from October 30 to November 8, 2026. Highlights include the Varna premiere of Marion Darova and Martina Apostolova, and a performance by Galina Borisova celebrating 40 years on stage. The program features international dance cinema at PUNKT 9 and a performance-concert titled ‘RAW Confessional Poetry’ at the City Art Gallery.

Simultaneously, the Sinelibri festival, themed ‘Civilization of Spectacle,’ is taking place at the Varna Festival and Congress Centre until November 8. The lineup includes French comedy ‘World Unknown’ and the closing film, the French drama ‘Night Stories’ by Léa Missioux. Other featured works include Nanni Moretti’s ‘It Will Happen Tonight’ and the Spanish-French production ‘The Black Ball,’ which serves as Spain’s official entry for the Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.
