Varna nursing home fire kills one and injures two

A fire broke out at a nursing home in Varna in the early hours of the morning, resulting in one woman's death and two others being injured. The incident, which was reported around 06:00, caused significant material damage to part of the building.

Emergency responders, including fire departments, police, and medical teams, conducted an urgent evacuation of dozens of residents. While some residents were assisted by staff and volunteers before official help arrived, firefighters used specialized equipment to evacuate those with limited mobility.

The deceased woman was found in one of the rooms. The two injured individuals, suffering from burns and smoke inhalation, were transported to St. Marina University Hospital in Varna.
