Varna police conduct operation against crime and election law violations

Police in Varna and the surrounding region conducted a specialized operation targeting domestic crime and violations of election legislation. During the crackdown, authorities inspected approximately 700 individuals, over 720 vehicles, and 85 addresses suspected of involvement in electoral law breaches.

The operation resulted in 42 detentions and the registration of 13 crimes. Law enforcement issued 130 administrative citations for road traffic violations and 49 warning protocols. Six pre-trial and five fast-track proceedings have been initiated.

A notable arrest involved a repeat offender linked to 58 crimes, including robberies, thefts, and drug offenses. The individual has previously served five prison sentences and was released only two months ago. He has 30 prior criminal registrations.
