Varna residents demand meeting over Forest Club property dispute

Residents of the Forest Club complex in the Baba Alino area of Varna have issued an open letter demanding an urgent meeting with Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev, municipal representatives, and legal experts. The residents claim they have become “hostages” to a legal and administrative dispute in which they are not involved.

The property owners describe themselves as good-faith buyers who hold notarized deeds for their homes. They noted that many properties were purchased using bank loans, meaning the assets were vetted by financial institutions. Furthermore, the properties are officially registered with the Varna Municipality, have designated tax IDs, and the owners have consistently paid local taxes and fees.

The residents are calling for the creation of a joint working group to conduct an individual review of documents and find a lawful solution. They are protesting against what they describe as unjustified restrictions on access to their properties and utility services. If a constructive dialogue is not established, the residents warned they may seek protection from European institutions, human rights organizations, and international media.
