Varna workers injured by falling tree branch

Three workers were injured in Varna when a large tree branch fell on them in the Sea Garden. The victims, including one man and two women from the municipal enterprise ‘Project Management and Landscaping’, were performing routine cleaning and leaf collection when the incident occurred.

The branch fell from a Sophora tree, which is approximately 20 meters high with a diameter of about 1 meter. The branch fell from a height of roughly 10 meters near the Sea Casino. While the two women sustained non-serious injuries, the man is in serious condition with facial and cranial trauma.

The injured were transported to the emergency medical center at St. Anna Hospital. Local authorities noted that the tree showed no visible signs of being dried out or compromised prior to the fall.
