Varna's Chaika Kindergarten to undergo major renovation

Children from the Chaika Kindergarten in Varna will be temporarily relocated to nearby educational institutions due to an extensive major renovation project. The renovation is expected to last 24 months.

To facilitate this transition, Varna Municipality officials, including Mayor Blagomir Kotsev and Deputy Mayor Sofia Koleva, met with parents and school directors to discuss the organization of the educational process. The municipality has identified five nearby kindergartens—Mecho Puh, Alen Mak, Kalina Malina, Petar Beron, and Galabche—to host the displaced groups.

Efforts are underway to prepare these facilities, with some spaces already renovated. A key priority for the administration is to allow children to remain with their current teachers and assistants to minimize disruption. The phased relocation is scheduled to begin at the start of the school year and continue through the end of September, depending on the readiness of the receiving facilities.
