Varso Tower climber detained in Warsaw

A 26-year-old man of French origin was detained by police after climbing the Varso Tower in Warsaw without safety equipment. The incident occurred on a Sunday morning, prompting an emergency response from police and high-altitude firefighters, who deployed safety nets to secure the area.

This event marks the third such unauthorized climb at the building within the last year. Previous incidents include a climb by Titouan Leduc in September 2025 and an ascent by Marcin Banot in June of this year. The recurring nature of these climbs has raised concerns regarding security protocols at the 310-meter skyscraper, which holds the title of the tallest building in the European Union.
