Vasco da Gama completes signings of Santiago Sosa and Nelson Deossa while hunting more players

Vasco da Gama announced the permanent signing of Argentine midfielder Santiago Sosa from Racing for a reported US$7 million (about R$35.5 million) and the acquisition of Colombian midfielder Nelson Deossa from Real Betis on a loan with an obligation to buy for €10 million (around R$58.5 million). Both players are expected to undergo medical exams and finalize contracts in Rio de Janeiro in the coming days.

The club is also in advanced talks for two additional central defenders and two forwards. According to journalist Lucas Pedrosa, the investor group led by Marcos Faria Lamacchia is committed to backing further acquisitions, aiming to strengthen the squad while postponing any potential sale of the club until after its presidential election.

Negotiations with legal and governing bodies are reportedly underway to ensure a smooth transfer of ownership should the sale proceed later in the season.
