Vasco da Gama lands Sportingbet master sponsorship worth R$25 million
Vasco da Gama and betting firm Sportingbet have reached a master‑sponsorship agreement that runs until the end of 2027. The deal offers higher payments than the previous Betfair contract and includes a clause that allows a future SAF investor to terminate the agreement without a penalty. The partnership is expected to deliver roughly R$25 million to the club for the remaining six months of 2026, providing a notable boost to Vasco’s finances.
The club, which spent over R$100 million on sign‑ings in the first transfer window, is now operating with a constrained budget for the upcoming window. It is also negotiating the sale of 90 % of its SAF assets to investor Marcos Lamacchia, with the aim of reinvesting any player‑sale proceeds fully into the squad. Both the sponsorship and the SAF transaction are seen as essential steps to stabilise Vasco’s fiscal situation and improve its competitive prospects in the Brazilian league.
