Vasco da Gama Museum opens exhibition on women's history

The Vasco da Gama Museum, located at the São Januário Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, has inaugurated a new exhibition titled “Mulheres no Vasco: A construção da grandeza vascaína a partir do protagonismo feminino” (Women at Vasco: The construction of Vasco's greatness through female protagonism).

The exhibit honors the diverse roles women have played in the club's history, including athletes, supporters, members, employees, and directors. It aims to provide a broader perspective of the institution's memory by highlighting contributions that extend beyond sports competitions into administrative and social development.

The initiative also addresses the historical challenges faced by women in sports environments, such as inequalities in access and recognition, seeking to bring visibility to roles that have often been sidelined in traditional football narratives.
