Vasco da Gama releases auction notice for new football corporation

Vasco da Gama has released the updated auction notice and confidentiality agreement (NDA) for the sale of its new football corporation, the Nova SAF. The process involves the judicial sale of UPI Equity, which represents 90% of the total and voting capital of the new entity.

The sale includes football-related assets such as federative rights, athlete and coaching staff contracts, commercial contracts, sponsorships, and intellectual property. The winning bidder will have exclusive rights to use the São Januário stadium for professional football matches as a home team until December 31, 2030, in exchange for annual payments to the club.

A central financial requirement of the deal is a mandatory investment of R$ 500 million into the football department, structured as R$ 100 million in annual contributions between 2026 and 2030. These funds must be used exclusively for football operations and cannot be applied to debt repayment or other obligations of the Nova SAF.
