Vasco da Gama resumes training with focus on offensive tactics

Vasco da Gama is set to resume training this Thursday at CT Moacyr Barbosa following a four-day break during the FIFA international window. For the first time since his arrival, head coach Pedro Emanuel will have a period of free training time, as the team has previously operated under a schedule of two matches per week with instructions often delivered via video.

Emanuel’s primary focus has been stabilizing the defensive system, which has resulted in nine clean sheets across 19 matches. The coaching staff now intends to shift focus toward offensive construction and finishing, following recent improvements attributed to the arrival of Facundo Colidio.

The club is also considering organizing at least one closed-door training match to maintain match fitness. The team is currently competing in the Copa do Brasil and Sul-Americana while also managing its position in the Brasileirão. The next official fixture is scheduled against Botafogo on October 7.
