Vasco da Gama secures Alan Lescano while abandoning Bryan Rodríguez deal
Vasco da Gama is adjusting its transfer strategy following the collapse of a deal for Uruguayan attacker Bryan Rodríguez. Rodríguez’s agent, Edgardo Lasalvia, confirmed that negotiations are no longer being considered after his current club, América-MEX, offered the player more money to remain in Mexico.
In contrast, the club has successfully moved forward with the signing of Argentine midfielder Alan Lescano from Argentinos Juniors. The deal is valued at approximately US$ 9 million, consisting of US$ 7.5 million in fixed fees and US$ 1.5 million in performance-based bonuses. Lescano has arrived in Rio de Janeiro for medical examinations and is expected to make his debut against Grêmio on September 12, provided his registration is finalized before the transfer window closes on September 11.
