Vasco da Gama signs royalty‑based Nike kit deal through 2032

Brazilian football club Vasco da Gama and U.S. sportswear giant Nike have agreed on a kit partnership that runs from May 2025 until the end of 2032. The contract does not include a fixed annual fee; instead, Vasco will receive royalties on the sale of licensed products, ranging from 12 % for the first 200 000 units to 18 % for sales above 500 000 units. Nike will also invest a minimum of R$ 2 million per year in marketing tied to the club and supply 3 000 Nike items annually.

The agreement includes performance‑related bonuses for titles won by the men’s team, such as R$ 1.5 million for a FIFA Club World Cup win and other amounts for domestic and continental championships. If Vasco spends two consecutive seasons outside Brazil’s Serie A, the royalty rates and marketing minimum may be reduced by up to 30 %. Either party may terminate the deal with twelve months’ notice if the club remains three seasons out of the top division.
