Vasco da Gama targets Goiás midfielder Lucas Rodrigues

Vasco da Gama has expressed interest in signing Lucas Rodrigues, a prominent midfielder for Goiás Esporte Clube and a member of the Brazilian U-20 national team. The Rio de Janeiro club has been monitoring the 18-year-old player for several months, with club executives working to facilitate a potential negotiation.

Rodrigues has become a key figure for Goiás since joining the professional squad in 2025. In the current season, he has recorded 32 appearances and six goals. While Vasco is actively pursuing the player, he is also attracting interest from European clubs. Any transfer would require negotiations with Goiás, as Rodrigues is under contract with the club until December 2029.

In addition to Rodrigues, Vasco is reportedly interested in Grêmio striker Carlos Vinícius, who is currently playing out the final months of his contract.
