Vasco da Gama targets midfielder Alan Lescano from Argentinos Juniors

Vasco da Gama is targeting 24-year-old Argentine midfielder Alan Lescano from Argentinos Juniors to strengthen its squad before the transfer window closes. The club views Lescano as a potential starter due to his versatility, noting he can operate as a traditional number 10 or as a more advanced central midfielder.

Lescano has shown significant production in recent seasons, including a standout year with 12 goals and four assists in 45 matches. The club's ability to finalize the deal may depend on the judicial release of a R$ 150 million loan.

Vasco has already secured four reinforcements this season: Paulinho, Santiago Sosa, Facundo Colidio, and Bruno Duarte. The move comes as the club faces a difficult period in the Campeonato Brasileiro, currently sitting in the penultimate position, while remaining active in the Copa do Brasil and Sul-Americana.
