Vasco da Gama unveils new Nike third kit inspired by maritime history

Vasco da Gama has officially unveiled its new third kit for the 2026-27 season, produced in partnership with Nike. Titled ‘Nascida do Vento’ (Born of the Wind), the design features a predominantly pale yellow color intended to honor the club’s maritime heritage by mimicking the appearance of historical ship sails.

The uniform includes black detailing on the sleeves and collar, a V-neck, and an internal graphic of a Portuguese caravel. Notably, the design omits the club’s traditional diagonal sash. The kit is scheduled to make its official competitive debut during a match against Cruzeiro.

While club president Pedrinho emphasized that the kit connects the institution’s history with the strength of the fans, the launch has met with mixed reactions from supporters. Some fans expressed dissatisfaction on social media, criticizing the design as overly simple or noting its resemblance to a 2024 Corinthians uniform.
