Vasco dos Vascaínos group criticizes Vasco SAF management

The Vasco dos Vascaínos political group, led by Pedrinho, has issued a formal note criticizing the current management of Vasco SAF. The group alleges that despite record revenues, the company is heavily reliant on loans to survive, including recent debts of R$ 80 million and R$ 40 million, with plans to seek an additional R$ 150 million.

The note highlights significant financial deficits, stating that the Pedro Paulo administration generated a loss of approximately R$ 230 million in 2025, with deficits potentially exceeding R$ 300 million this year. Furthermore, the group questioned the transparency of the management and the role of the consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal, which handles audits and financial restructuring.

Criticism was also directed at the appointment of Fred Luz to the SAF leadership and the sale of key player Rayan. The group claims the current financial strategy is creating a cycle of debt that mirrors the circumstances leading to the previous sale to 777 Partners.
