Vasco SAF intervention report filed by Athos de Andrade
Attorney Athos de Andrade filed his final intervention report in court on Monday, ending his brief tenure as interventor of Vasco SAF after the 20th Chamber of Private Law of the Rio de Janeiro State Court suspended his appointment. The report states his mandate was limited to overseeing governance, transparency, accountability and information flow, not to manage football operations.
During his short mandate, Andrade convened meetings with Vasco SAF’s executive team—including CEO Fred Luz, legal director Bianca Reis and football director Admar Lopes—alongside representatives of the Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama (CRVG), the judicial administration of the club’s bankruptcy, members of the fiscal council, and officials from 777 Carioca LLC. He also met the legal representative of a potential investor interested in acquiring control of Vasco SAF. The discussions covered ongoing player and coach negotiations and a possible purchase proposal, though no agreement was disclosed. Following the court’s suspension, Andrade halted all activities and refrained from issuing technical conclusions on the club’s governance or financial status. The filing does not alter the existing legal dispute between CRVG and 777 Carioca LLC.
