São Paulo women advance to Copa do Brasil round of 16, will meet Vasco

São Paulo Futebol Clube's women's team qualified for the round of 16 of the 2026 Copa do Brasil Feminina after a 3‑0 victory over Grêmio Esportivo Mauaense on 6 July at Estádio Pedro Benedetti in Mauá. The goals were scored by Tayla, Carol Gil and Aline (Millene).

The win sets up a single‑leg tie against Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama on 21 July at 21:45 (Brasília time). The venue has not been confirmed but the match is expected to be played in Rio de Janeiro, possibly at Nivaldo Pereira or São Januário. The winner will progress to the quarter‑finals and earn part of the R$120 000 prize pool.

Vasco entered the competition in the second phase, defeating Araguari 5‑1 and América‑MG 1‑0 to reach the same stage. The two clubs previously met in the 2025 edition, where São Paulo won 3‑1 at São Januário. The round‑of‑16 fixtures will be broadcast nationally on Sportv, N Sports and CBF TV.
