Vashek Blanár selected by Boston Bruins in NHL Draft

Vashek Blanár, a 19-year-old hockey defenseman standing 196 cm tall, was selected by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round (100th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft.

Blanár, who has roots in Čeladná, Czech Republic, has been developing his career in Sweden since 2023, playing for clubs such as Kälvesta, IF Troja-Lungby, and currently competing for a spot on the senior HV71 team in Jönköping. He is a silver medalist with the Czech U20 national team and is part of the upcoming U20 roster for the tournament in Finland.
