Vasile Diacon Wins 70kg Title at International Wrestling Tournament in Turkey

Romanian carabinier Vasile Diacon captured first place in the 70 kg category at the Hasan Gemici & Gazanfer Bilge International Wrestling Tournament held in Kocaeli, Turkey. He defeated opponents from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan to claim the championship.

Separately, the Romanian government announced a national energy alert for the month of August due to severe drought and critically low water levels in the Danube and other rivers. Interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan warned of a risk of power outages if the situation does not improve.
