Vasile Mezdrea resigns from Brașov Local Council

Vasile Mezdrea, a local councilor in Brașov elected on the PNL lists in 2024, has officially resigned from the municipal deliberative body. Mezdrea described the decision as a personal choice and a ‘step aside,’ stating he had fulfilled all his objectives, including involvement in major infrastructure projects such as the new hospital, stadium, and multipurpose hall.

Following the approval of his resignation by the plenary, the vacant seat in the Brașov Local Council is expected to be filled by Sorin Marinescu, the next candidate on the PNL-PSD alliance list from the 2024 elections.
