Vasilije Marković and Luka Topalović commit to national teams
Several young football talents have made definitive decisions regarding their international representation.
Eighteen-year-old midfielder Vasilije Marković, born in Vienna to Serbian parents, has committed to the Austrian national team. Following interest from the Football Association of Serbia, Austrian coach Ralf Rangnick included Marković in the senior squad for upcoming matches against Israel, Ireland, and Kosovo. Marković, who has played for Austrian youth selections since the U15 level, expressed his dream of playing for the Austrian A-team.
In Slovenia, 20-year-old Inter Milan midfielder Luka Topalović has also clarified his international future. Despite being linked to the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia due to his heritage, Slovenian coach Boštjan Cesar confirmed that Topalović is focused on Slovenia. Topalović, currently on loan at Carrarese in Italy's Serie B, is included in the wider Slovenia senior squad list.
