Vasilis Bismpikis reveals heart attack and medical emergency

Greek actor Vasilis Bismpikis has revealed that he suffered a heart attack two years ago, an event he initially mistook for a common cold. During an interview with VIMAgazino regarding the premiere of the series ‘Two Black Shirts’, Bismpikis explained that he went to the hospital thinking he had a chill, only to undergo angioplasty and have five stents inserted within ten minutes of arrival.

Bismpikis noted that because he felt fine immediately following the medical intervention, it took him some time to fully grasp the severity of the situation. He stated that he has since changed his lifestyle and is more careful regarding his health.

Additionally, the actor addressed the public backlash and intense criticism he faced following a previous traffic accident. He accepted responsibility for the incident, noting that while he was not personally affected by the public's anger, he was concerned about the impact it had on those around him.
