Vasilis Kokkalis addresses inflation and fuel costs in Greece

Regarding fuel, Kokkalis noted that domestic pump prices do not align with international oil market fluctuations. He cited data suggesting over 80% of citizens desire interventions in fuel taxation, specifically calling for reductions in the Special Consumption Tax and VAT. Furthermore, he criticized the existing institutional framework, stating that regulatory gaps currently limit the effectiveness of market oversight and the ability to prevent price gouging.
