Vasilis Kokkalis calls for 120-installment EFKA debt restructuring

Vasilis Kokkalis, president of INKA Thessaly, has called for a more generous restructuring of debts owed to EFKA, arguing that the current 72-installment scheme is insufficient for many debtors.

Kokkalis noted that the 72-installment plan only covers debts incurred up to December 31, 2023. Debts from 2024 and 2025 are subject to a fixed 24-installment arrangement, which he claims creates a suffocating financial environment for professionals due to high monthly payments.

As a solution, he proposed returning to the 120-installment model used in 2019 and requested a reduction in surcharges. He emphasized that a significant portion of the total debt owed to EFKA consists of accumulated surcharges rather than the original insurance contributions.
