Vasilis Palmas addresses new military academy students

Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas addressed new students during an oath-taking ceremony at the ‘Ilias Papakouriakos’ camp in Athalassa. He emphasized the critical importance of the National Guard for a nation that has been under Turkish occupation for 52 years.

Palmas congratulated the students entering higher military educational institutions and non-commissioned officer academies, noting that their training is designed to develop leaders capable of making decisive decisions under pressure. He called on the recruits to serve with ethics, discipline, and a sense of responsibility, highlighting that military spirit is built on honor, duty, and integrity.
