Vasiliy Lomachenko targets super featherweight comeback

Ukrainian boxer Vasiliy Lomachenko is planning a return to the ring in the super featherweight division (130 pounds). His manager, Egis Klimas, stated that the primary goal of this comeback is for Lomachenko to become the undisputed world champion in his natural weight class.

Lomachenko is reportedly targeting WBA champion Anthony Cacace for his return bout. Securing a victory against Cacace would position Lomachenko to challenge the winner of the upcoming fight between Emanuel Navarrete and O’Shaquie Foster, potentially uniting all major titles.

Klimas noted that Lomachenko’s recent hiatus has been beneficial, leaving him in improved physical condition. While no official date or signed agreement with Cacace has been announced, the strategy aims to bypass lower-level opponents in favor of immediate championship contention.
