Vaslui and Târgoviște commence mosquito‑control spraying operations

On 24 June 2026 the municipal services of Vaslui (SC Goscom Vaslui SA) will carry out a city‑wide anti‑mosquito spraying between 21:00 and 02:00 using the insecticide Solfac Trio EC 140 NF. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor exposure during the operation, and beekeepers and sericulturists are warned that the product can be harmful to bee colonies and silkworms.

From 29 June to 4 July 2026 Târgoviște city hall will conduct daily aerial treatments from 05:45 to 10:00, applying the insecticide AQUA K‑OTHRINE EW 20. The aim is to reduce populations of mosquitoes, flies, caterpillars and other nuisance insects. Authorities recommend that beekeepers relocate hives at least 10 km away, that livestock be kept off treated areas, and that people avoid consuming fruit from sprayed zones.

Both municipalities stress that the chemicals are approved for use and pose no danger to the public when applied correctly, while highlighting the need for protective measures for pollinators and the environment.
