Vaslui County reports social allowance figures for 23,000 pensioners

In Vaslui County, 23,430 pensioners received social allowances at the end of July 2026. This group includes 21,581 individuals from the public pension system, with an average state-supported value of 551 lei, and 1,849 individuals from the agricultural system, with an average value of 367 lei.

The minimum social pension, intended for those who have completed only the minimum contribution period, has increased by 13.8% since January 1, 2024, rising from 1,125 lei to 1,281 lei. This type of pension was established under Government Emergency Ordinance no. 6/2009 and approved by Law no. 196/2009.

Additionally, as of late August 2026, Vaslui County recorded 6,398 employers contributing to the public pension system, with 55,932 insured persons and an average gross salary of 5,623 lei. This represents an increase from the mid-2025 figures, which showed 5,909 employers and 54,850 insured persons.
