Vaslui hosts National Junior Science Olympiad

The Vaslui municipality is hosting the national stage of the National Junior Science Olympiad from August 24 to 28. The interdisciplinary competition focuses on physics, chemistry, and biology, targeting students aged 15 and under.

Forty-five top students from across Romania are participating after qualifying through regional stages. The competition aims to select the top 15 students for the national pool, from which representatives for the 2026 International Junior Science Olympiad in Sofia, Bulgaria, will be chosen.

Theoretical and practical exams are being held at the Emil Racoviță Theoretical High School. The event includes educational excursions, such as a visit to the Natural Sciences Section of the Vasile Pârvan Museum and the Planetarium in Bârlad, alongside social and recreational activities for the participants.
