Vaslui police investigate child injury after football goal collapse

Police in Vaslui County have opened a criminal investigation following an accident in Dragomirești where an eight-year-old boy was struck by a falling metal football goal. The incident occurred on a Wednesday afternoon while several children were playing on the field.

The child suffered a traumatic brain injury and a loss of consciousness. He was transported by ambulance to the ‘Sf. Chiriachi’ Emergency County Hospital in Vaslui, where he underwent surgery for a forehead wound. Medical officials report that while the patient underwent intervention, his general condition is stable and he remains hospitalized in the ORL department.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident under the aspect of negligent bodily harm to determine how the goal collapsed and whether safety regulations were being followed.
