Vaslui police officer earns ‘Black Beret’ in Moldova competition
Rareș, a 26-year-old officer from the Special Actions Service of the Vaslui County Police Inspectorate, successfully earned the ‘Black Beret’ during a high-intensity resistance competition held in the Republic of Moldova.
Organized by the ‘Fulger’ Special Purpose Police Brigade, the competition involved participants from Romanian and Moldovan force structures. The grueling 18-kilometer course consisted of 15 stations designed to test strength, endurance, coordination, and concentration. Tasks included transporting ammunition crates, tires, and logs, as well as shooting exercises, navigating a ‘Typhoon’ course, gas chamber testing, rope crossings, and moving through water. Other challenges included crawling under armored vehicles, pushing a truck, and pushing a tank. The test concluded with a sparring session to evaluate remaining energy reserves. Out of 51 participants, only 25 successfully completed the requirements to obtain the ‘Black Beret’.
