Vaso Ćuković Hospital receives medical equipment donations

The Vaso Ćuković Special Hospital for Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Neurology in Risan has received a new bronchoscope, funded by a donation from the Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro.

Dr. Dina Pagnacco, the hospital director, noted that the video-assisted bronchoscope will allow anesthesiologists to perform safer intubations for complex and high-risk patients. The equipment is particularly vital given that the facility performs approximately 1,500 operations annually.

Mladen Mikijelj, director of the Public Enterprise, announced that the board has also approved 60,000 euros for the purchase of a specialized vehicle. These combined contributions bring the total donations to the hospital to approximately 100,000 euros over the last year and a half.
