Vassilis Kikilias warns of gale-force winds in the Aegean Sea

Greek Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Vassilis Kikilias has issued a warning regarding gale-force winds in the Aegean Sea, which are reaching up to 9 Beaufort.

Kikilias has contacted ferry companies to request increased vigilance and continuous updates for passengers regarding any schedule changes or cancellations. He advised individuals traveling to ports to contact their ferry companies or the relevant Port Authority in advance. Additionally, he urged sailors, yacht captains, small boat operators, and water sports enthusiasts to avoid activities in areas with strong winds and heavy seas, following all instructions from the Coast Guard.
