Vasto authorities address illegal dumping and urban decay

Authorities in Vasto are addressing increasing issues of urban decay and illegal activity. Cleanup operations have commenced on an inter-rural road connecting Via del Porto and Contrada Frutteto in the northern part of the city. This area had recently become an unauthorized landfill, accumulating construction debris, furniture, metal, and household waste. The land involved is private property belonging to the Fondazione Genova Rull.

In a separate effort to maintain urban decorum, Mayor Francesco Menna has announced a zero-tolerance policy regarding individuals using public streets as toilets. The Mayor stated that the administration is working to identify those responsible to ensure they face economic sanctions. He emphasized that maintaining a beautiful city requires both administrative intervention and responsible behavior from citizens to respect shared community spaces.
