Vasto confers honorary citizenship to the Arma dei Carabinieri

The city of Vasto has conferred honorary citizenship upon the Arma dei Carabinieri. The ceremony took place on September 29 during celebrations marking the 165th anniversary of the institution of the Lieutenancy.

Vasto Mayor Francesco Menna presented the recognition to express gratitude to the men and women of the Carabinieri for their role in maintaining legality, security, and community proximity. Brigadier General Gianluca Feroce, commander of the Carabinieri Legion for Abruzzo and Molise, accepted the honor on behalf of the force.

The event included an exhibition showcasing various Carabinieri specialties, such as mounted units, divers, canine units, and bomb disposal experts, who demonstrated the use of robotic technology for safe object manipulation.
