Vasto reports tourism growth driven by international visitors

Tourism in Vasto has seen a significant increase in 2026, characterized by a rise in international visitors and high demand for natural sites such as Punta Penna and Punta Aderci. While the historic center has experienced a boom in evening activity, local operators note that the Marina area has seen a decrease in evening foot traffic.

Real estate agencies reported a slow July followed by a surge in August, with many families from Northern Italy renting apartments. Although stay durations have shortened to an average of four to five nights, local officials and tourism experts suggest a need to promote macro-area tourism along the Costa dei Trabocchi to better integrate coastal resources.
